Council Meetings

The City Council shall meet in a regular session in Council Chambers at Wyandotte City Hall, 3200 Biddle Avenue, at least two (2) times each month at 7:00PM, with dates to be determined by city council via resolution prior to the start of each calendar year. Meeting dates are subject to change. An updated list of City Council meeting dates and agenda item submission deadlines is posted on the Agenda and Minutes for Council meetings page.

City Council Meetings are open to the public. Requests to be placed on the agenda must be submitted to the City of Wyandotte Clerk’s Office no later than 4:30 pm on the Thursday prior to the Council Meeting. All correspondence shall be addressed to: The Honorable Mayor and Council. Council meeting protocol may be viewed by clicking here

Agendas and Minutes for the Council Meetings may be found in the FRONT DESK portion of our site. Requests for agendas prior to 2018 must be made in writing to the Wyandotte City Clerk’s office. 

City Council Meetings are aired live and replayed on local cable access Channel 16 as follows: 
Monday at 11:00 pm 
Tuesday at 9:00 am and 1:30 pm 
Friday at 11:00 am, 2:00 pm, & 8:00 pm 
Saturday at 9:00 am

Family Life:
Mayor DeSana is a lifelong resident. He is husband to Denise and father to Abby Desana. Rob's stepson, Ian Hamel and his wife Elesa, have given Rob his most recent title, "Grandpa" to Lennan, Vaughn, and Layla

Education and Experience:
Rob started his insurance career in 1980 as an insurance agent.
Joined E.W. Smith in 1994, as an agent, and eventually became a partner and stockholder.
Retired in 2016 after 36 years in the insurance industry.
Graduated from Gabriel Richard High School in 1972 and went to Ferris State College and Wayne County Community College from 1972 until 1978.

Family Life:
Kelly was born and raised in Wyandotte and returned here following her time at Michigan State University. She is the proud daughter of Tracie and Larry Stec, sister to Larry and Anne, and partner of Tony Borden.

Education & Experience:

Kelly has dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychology. She went on to study Education Policy in graduate school, during which time she became an active member of the American Federation of Teachers. Kelly then interned at the Michigan Legislature, where she was hired in 2016. She currently serves as a Legislative Director at the State House and a coordinator on a CDC-funded grant to reduce violence and bullying in schools. Councilman Hanna is married to Holly Hanna and father to Nico Hanna. Todd was born and raised in Wyandotte. He left Wyandotte to join the United States Army. Sergeant Hanna proudly served our great country from 1992 to 1996.
