The Independence Day Parade Committee is already planning a great 86th Annual Parade for Tuesday, July 4th 2023 to begin at 10 AM. The Parade Committee would like to invite your band, group or organization to be a part of this year's event.
At this time of year, Wyandotte is proud to recognize and honor our veterans and service men and women and provide a quality family event to downriver citizens. Since this is the largest Fourth of July Parade in the area, it is viewed by thousands of citizens over Wyandotte’s cable network and along the main street. We are pleased to have a great team of volunteers record our parade each year which is then shown many times over the summer.
Of course, patriotic music would be appropriate as well. We are working to space out the music or sound, so please submit your entry early if you plan to have sound or music. The purpose of this parade is to focus the celebration onto our national holiday.
This year please plan to have your group there at 9:00 am as roadways are all closed by 9:30 am If you are building a float, it cannot exceed 13’ in height.
Complete the entry form below. If you have any questions or if there are any special considerations you require, please contact the Special Events Office.
We hope you will join us for this exciting holiday event. The due date is May 31st 2023 so that we may prepare for all the festivities in July!
Complete details relative to your participation will be mailed to you ASAP.
