SEC. 35-46
Parking on city streets and parking in residential areas:
(c) No more than
one (I) of the following type vehicles may be parked on residential
lots, exclusive of the driveway area of the premises, if properly
licensed and registered and owned by the property occupant: 1.
Automobile; 2. Motorcycle; 3. Pickup truck;
Such parking and storage of said vehicles (other than as permitted
in the driveway area of the premises) may not be between the front
lot line and nearest line of any residential building on said lot.
Any vehicle under this section may only be parked or stored on a
hard surface ( such as concrete, blacktop, or other comparable
surfaces, but not gravel). Any other vehicle not described above
must be housed in a garage when not in use.
Sec. 85-47.
Parking on private property.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park any motor. vehicle on
any private property without the expressed or implied consent,
authorization or ratification of the owner, holder, occupant,
lessee, agent or trustee of such property.

Sec.
85-48. Parkway parking.
(a) No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle on that portion of
the highway located between the property lot lines and the curb, or
edge of roadway, without a permit from the police and fire
commission and in compliance with this section.
(b) Permits for parking in business areas shall be issued only for
the accommodation of the general public, and shall not be granted
for the sole purpose of providing vehicle storage or display space
for use by the applicant or other person. The following requirements
shall be observed:
(1) Angle parking may be permitted where the space between the
established curbline and the outside edge of the sidewalk is not
less than fifteen (15) feet; perpendicular parking may be permitted
where said space is not less than thirty (30) feet. The degree of
angle parking shall not be less than thirty (30) degrees.
(2) No person shall park within twenty (20) feet of a crosswalk.
Permits shall not be issued if a hazard due to the parking in close
proximity of intersections, commercial driveways, or alleys is
created.
