2. A winter tax bill which is mailed around December 1, and is payable through February 26 without penalty.

For billing accuracy, it is important that you keep your information current with The City of Wyandotte. Some examples of changes include:

Change of Mortgage Company – contact the Treasurer’s Office 734-324-4570

If you elect to pay property taxes through an escrow account, your property tax bill will be sent directly to your escrow agent.

FAILURE TO RECEIVE YOUR PROPERTY TAX BILL DOES NOT WAIVE PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS OR PENALTY AND INTEREST.

Deferment of Taxes

Deferments are available for senior citizens and legally disabled persons with an annual income of less than $40,000.00. This deferment is for a homeowner’s principle residence only and allows summer taxes to be paid on or before February 14 of the following year without penalty. Qualified persons must complete this form annually, and return to the Treasurer’s Office.

Payment Information

If you pay your own taxes (rather than an escrow agent), a return addressed envelope is provided with your property tax bill. Please utilize this return envelope when paying your current year property taxes to ensure accurate and expedient delivery.

Your property tax bill can also be paid at the following locations:

  • City Hall, Treasurer’s Office, 3200 Biddle Avenue, Suite 100. For your convenience, a 24 hour drop box is located outside, near the drive through window at Wyandotte City Hall, 3200 Biddle Avenue, Suite 100, Wyandotte.

There is a convenience fee of no more than 2.55% to customers for payments made with debit or credit cards. The fee is collected and paid to the service provider, not the City of Wyandotte. Payment by electronic check at wyandotte.net will be charged a $1.00 convenience fee.  Checks are accepted only as conditional payment. If the check is denied upon presentation to the bank, the tax will be restored as unpaid to the tax roll without further notice and will be subject to all applicable interest and penalty charges.

When you provide a check as payment, you authorize us either to use information from your check to make a one-time electronic funds transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction.
