The City of Wyandotte and Business Association are pleased to invite southeast Michigan citizens to the 44rd Annual Wyandotte Street Art Fair and Sidewalk Sale.  

Voted #1 as the State of Michigan 's Best Annual Riverfront Festival, in the recent Detroit News "Michigan's Best of 2005".

The Art Fair will be held on Biddle Avenue, First, Maple & Elm Street in downtown Wyandotte, Wednesday though Saturday, July 13-16, 2005Art Fair hours are 10 AM to 9 PM daily, &
            
Riverfront Entertainment / Food Court hours are Noon to 11 PM daily. 

Annually the art fair brings 250,000 visitors to Wyandotte.
  

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE:  The Art Fair Committee is comprised of nine members:  Three from the City of Wyandotte, one representative from the Business Association of Wyandotte, one representative from the Downriver Arts and Crafts Guild, one representative from the Acanthus Art Society and three representatives from the community.  -

STATISTICS:  The Wyandotte Street Art Fair, a non-profit event, is now in its 44th year.  

There are  approximately 360 artists and craftspeople participating representing 35 states and Canada.  -

Thirty-five food and beverage concessions provide a wide variety of delicious cuisine to satisfy all visitors. -

Proceeds from all beer sales are donated to the Wyandotte Goodfellow,

Program and all Lemonade sales proceeds will benefit the Wyandotte Kiwanis Club #1000,  Wyandotte Kiwanis Sunrise Club, Wyandotte Lions Club, Wyandotte Figure Skating Club, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel  High School, Wyandotte Catholic Consolidated School, Roosevelt High School Music Boosters and Wyandotte Wildcats Swim Club.
 
AREA MERCHANTS:
Convert sidewalks into a giant outdoor market featuring once-a-year values of quality merchandise.



SPECIAL FEATURES FOR THIS YEAR INCLUDE:
 

ART FAIR OFFICIAL T-SHIRT -
designed by D. B. Henkel from Traverse City, Michigan. You can meet Mr. Henkel at booth # 1-3, corner of Oak and Biddle.   Official 2005 Wyandotte Street Art Fair shirts will be for sale at the Art Fair Information Booth at the corner of Maple and Biddle Avenue - $10 for sizes up to Large, $12 for shirts XL and larger.

CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES AREA -   
will be located on Elm at 1st Street and will include Xtreme Fun Entertainment for people of all ages.  
Featuring: located at Elm and 1st Street and will feature entertainment from Extreme Fun- including the Jurassic Adventure, Tsunami Slide, Extreme Rock Wall (25' challenge), Rush Hour Obstacle Course and Star Walk.   Ride Prices range from $2 - $5

CHILDREN'S ART AREA
will be located on Elm from Biddle Ave. to 1st Street will feature, Candle Art, Face Painting,  Candy Art, Ceramics, Wood, Doll Clothes & Hand Art.

NON PROFIT GROUPS  -
over 30 non-profit groups will be on 1st Street, from Elm to Maple Street.    
A group of dedicated non-profit organizations will display their information.
 
AMERICAN RED CROSS -

will host a blood drive on Friday, July 15, at Wyandotte City Hall, from 11 AM - 5 PM.  Help save a life and donate at the Wyandotte Street Art Fair American Red Cross Blood Drive.  
 
CHILDREN'S EMPORIUM -

A special area for children will be located on First Street at Maple.  This area will feature the 24th Annual Children's Emporium  where children, 12 years of age and under, will be able to purchase items
(cost to be from $1 to $5) which have been donated by participating artists. The Emporium will only be open on Saturday, from 10 AM. to 4 PM. (Proceeds are used for the Wyandotte Street Art Fair Scholarship Program.)
          
WYANDOTTE JAYCEES BEAUTIFUL BABY CONTEST -

Eligible children between the ages of newborn and two years ( 2yrs ) of age.
Voting will be done by the public depositing money in containers designated for each child located at the Wyandotte Jaycee Booth in front of Wyandotte City Hall, There is a $10.00 entry fee to have your child included, for more information contact, 734.284.3861  

DOWNRIVER ARTISANS GROUP  -
The Downriver Artisan Group, located at the First United Methodist Church (corner of Oak and Biddle Avenue), will feature many special artists, from 10 AM to 4 PM.  The church will also sponsor an Annual Used Book Sale; the monetary contribution from the book sale are used to support and sustain the religious lending library.  

  • Quilting Demonstrations  are scheduled from 9 AM to 4 PM daily.

  •  Lunch and Pie Social  from 11 AM to 2 PM daily.

 ENTERTAINMENT -
The Waterfront musical entertainment stage will provide music for music enthusiasts of all ages

FREE RIDE SHUTTLE
- Sponsored by Henry Ford Hospital -
Scheduled to transport visitors from Roosevelt High School to Eureka & Biddle Avenue every 15 minutes.
