Business Assistance Programs
The Wyandotte Downtown Development Authority (DDA) was created to
promote and enhance the commercial core of the community, to
preserve public investment and to improve the viability of
businesses within the DDA District. This is a competitive grant
process and projects with a higher ratio of private to public
investment will be given preference. Grants will be awarded 4 times
per year and applicants must complete and submit the grant
application no later than the following dates to be considered for
grant funding: January 2nd, April 2nd, July 2nd & October 2nd.
Please note that if the grant application deadline falls on a
weekend or a holiday, the deadline for the grant shall be the
following weekday.
New Or Expanding Businesses Grant
New or Expanding Business Grant Application And Guidelines
This grant program provides funding to owners of new businesses
moving to the DDA District or existing businesses that expand within
the district. Expansion is defined as: Adding square footage to an
existing building, acquisition of neighboring property, addition of
outdoor seating or service areas that thereby add taxable value to
the property or moving to a larger facility within the district.
Exterior Building Improvement Grant
Exterior Improvement Grant Application And Guidelines
This grant program provides funding to owners of businesses within
the city's DDA District who wish to make improvements to their
existing buildings' façades or environment.
