Wyandotte Municipal Services (WMS) is a community-owned,
not-for-profit services provider, created by local residents more
than a century ago to provide high quality, affordable services
tailored to meet the demands of Wyandotte’s consumers. WMS also
offers water, phone, internet and cable television services.
The City of Wyandotte is working diligently to become a Green City, and is the recipient of the 2008 Greening Downriver Award from the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Wyandotte has undertaken many steps to become a Green Community. Some notable steps include: The burning of alternative fuels to produce electrical power, solar energy use in publicly owned buildings and an aggressive movement to re-develop Brownfield sites throughout the city. Furthermore, the addition of wind turbines by Wyandotte Municipal Services in 2010 will provide enough energy to power 2500 homes throughout the city.
To provide competitive services in an efficient, reliable, fiscally and environmentally responsible manner
