Trees

The City of Wyandotte offers trees for a nominal fee. The tree size ranges, but is typically 1½” to 2” in diameter. Tree types vary from year to year. The trees must be planted in the right-of-way (between the sidewalk and the curb), but not under or near electrical lines.

The cost of the trees vary from year to year and are dependent upon species. The City of Wyandotte pays for half of the cost of the tree, and will install the trees at no cost to the homeowner.

The Engineering and Building Department takes orders for trees all year, and you will be notified of the tree cost prior to making a commitment. If you are interested in having a tree planted, you may contact the Engineering and Building Department at 734-324-4551 or engineering1@wyan.org.
