The City of Wyandotte Department of Engineering is currently
preparing for sewer and road repair projects for the 2010 year.
Once the projects have been determined, they will be posted.

Spruce Street from 15th Street to 12th Street
Orchard Street from 9th Street to Biddle Avenue
The existing asphalt surface will be milled off, areas of
concrete base will be sawcut, removed and repaired, drainage
structures repaired or replaced, a new asphalt surface
constructed, and curbs and crosswalks repaired and replaced.
The milling of the existing surface on the streets listed will
begin Thursday, August 12, 2010. Concrete base repairs
(scheduled to start Monday, August 16), asphalt resurfacing, and
curb and crosswalk repair work will be done in stages over a
period of approximately four (4) to five (5) weeks. During this
time residents may lose access to driveways and the front or
side of their house or building for short periods of time,
possibly up to five (5) days. The streets will be closed to
traffic during working hours, except for emergencies, and be
worked on one-half at a time, to allow traffic to continue after
working hours. For your own convenience, and so that the work
can be performed in a safe and timely manner, kindly park
vehicles in other locations when the contractors are working on
your street.
3rd Street from Ford Avenue to Vinewood Avenue.
The City of Wyandotte has contracted with Cadillac Asphalt LLC
to repair and resurface 3rd Street from Ford Avenue to Vinewood
Avenue.
The existing asphalt surface will be milled off, areas of
concrete base will be sawcut, removed and repaired, drainage
structures repaired or replaced, a new asphalt surface
constructed, and curbs and crosswalks repaired and replaced.
The milling of the existing surface was performed Tuesday,
August 3, 2010. Saw cutting will begin late Thursday, August 5,
or Friday, August 6, 2010. Concrete base repairs, asphalt
resurfacing, and curb and crosswalk repair work will be done in
stages over a period of approximately eight (8) weeks. During
this time residents and businesses may lose access to driveways
and the front or side of their house or building for short
periods of time, possibly up to five (5) days. One half of the
street will be closed to traffic during working hours, except
for emergencies, and be worked on one-half at a time, to allow
traffic to continue after working hours. For your own
convenience, and so that the work can be performed in a safe and
timely manner, kindly park vehicles in other locations when the
contractors are working on your street.
2nd Street from Alkali Avenue to Antoine Street
Goodell Avenue from Biddle Avenue to 2nd Street
The existing asphalt surface will be milled off, areas of

constructed, and curbs and crosswalks repaired and replaced.

begin Friday, August 6, 2010. Concrete base repairs, asphalt
resurfacing, and curb and crosswalk repair work will be done in
stages over a period of approximately four (4) to five (5)
weeks. During this time residents and/or businesses may lose
access to driveways and the front or side of their house or
building for short periods of time, possibly up to five (5)
days. The streets will be closed to traffic during working

18th Street from Ford Avenue to Goddard Road
Davis Street from 20th Street to 21st Street
The existing asphalt surface will be milled off, areas of
concrete base will be sawcut, removed and repaired, drainage
structures repaired or replaced, a new asphalt surface
constructed, and curbs and crosswalks repaired and replaced. The
streets will be closed to traffic during working hours, except
for emergencies, and be worked on one-half at a time, to allow
traffic to continue after working hours. For your own
convenience, and so that the work can be performed in a safe and
timely manner, kindly park vehicles in other locations when the
contractors are working on your street. Trash pick-up will
continue on the regularly scheduled day.
8th Street From Orchard Street to Forest Street
The project will last approximately five (5) to seven (7) weeks,
and is scheduled to begin the week of June 7, 2010. During
construction, residents on 8th Street from Orchard to Forest
will lose access to the front or side of their property and will
need to park vehicles in other locations. Parking will be
allowed in the alleys during construction. Kindly park vehicles
as close as possible to fences so that other vehicles can pass
by.
8th Street will be closed completely within the construction
zone during working hours. The street will be worked on one-half
at a time to allow for construction vehicles and operations, and
to provide access for emergency vehicles. In order to provide a
safe working area for the construction crews, cut down on dust,
eliminate congestion and unsafe driving conditions in the
construction area, and improve the progress of the work, it is
recommended that motorists avoid 8th Street from Orchard to
Forest and use alternate routes.
Harrison Street Bridge
The Harrison Bridge will be closed
effective January 15, 2010, per the Lincoln Park City Council Resolution, please
seek an alternate route. The bridge will remain closed by the City of
Lincoln Park until funding is available
