CommunityHome and Business Awards

The Wyandotte Beautification Commission’s Annual Home Awards honor residents in the City of Wyandotte who take great pride in their property. In order to receive an award, the Beautification Commission must receive a nomination for the subject property. You may submit your own application, or you may submit an application on behalf of a home or business that you feel deserves an award.

Properties are judged on the following criteria: Color, texture, creative design with attention to planning, variety, hardscape elements and maintenance during the entire season. Homes were rated on a scale from 1 to 5.

You may submit an application for more than one property. Please provide a non-returnable photo or photos with your application. Homes and businesses that have received an award in a previous year are eligible for another award, provided that a significant change or improvement has been made to the property since the last award. Applications must be received no later than August 1st to be considered for an award. Winners will be notified by mail, and invited to attend an awards ceremony during the City Council meeting in October.
